<Korean Ceramic Art : Stories of Near and Far Away> presents Korean ceramic works that convey interesting points for discussion on global themes such as the coexistence between nature and humanity, community and diversity, and harmony and communication. These discussions are held as the world faces rapid social changes, revisiting the meaning of the Olympic Games as a venue for global unity. The ceramic works created by five Korean ceramic artists featured in the exhibition deal with social and cultural phenomena and tell stories surrounding them in diverse formative languages through the rich traditional context of Korean ceramic art, in addition to various forms of expression. Hopefully, this exhibition will provide an opportunity to look back on the stories of our distant and near past through ceramic works and to uniquely experience the aesthetic beauty of contemporary Korean ceramics.
